New railroad crossing at Brownsville to link US, Mexico

1Ceremonies are planned Tuesday in Brownsville to mark the first new international rail crossing between the U.S. and Mexico since 1910.
2U.S. Secretary of Commerce Penny Pritzker is scheduled to help celebrate the West Rail Bypass International Bridge.
3The crossing will connect Brownsville and Matamoros, Mexico.
4Mexican officials will also join the ceremonies to mark efforts for increased economic growth between the two countries.
5Ground was broken in late 2010 for the West Rail project.
